Tom K. Hei，博士，Columbia University终身教授。现任医师和外科医师学院放射肿瘤系副主席（Vice-Chairman, Department of Radiation Oncology, College of Physicians & Surgeons of Columbia University），放射研究中心副主任（Associate Director, Center for Radiological Research, College of Physicians & Surgeons of Columbia University）。是太空研究进展放射生物部分的主编(Editor, Advances in Space Research (Radiation Biology Section))，放射研究杂志的副主编（Associate Editor, Journal of Radiation Research）。主要研究方向为环境致癌物——射线与化学物的致癌性及致癌机理研究，特别是在射线诱导的旁观者效应（Radiation-Induced Bystander Effects）研究方面处于国际领先地位，已发表SCI论文150多篇。
