Prof. Peter A. Andreasen简介
Professor Andreasen graduated as a biochemist from the University of Copenhagen, where he completed his MSc in 1974 and his Doctorate (dr. scient.) in 1984 (Doctor of Natural Sciences). After a number of research fellowships at the University of Copenhagen and Rigshospitalet, he was appointed Professor at the Department of Molecular Biology, Aarhus University in 2010, with a special view to research into the mechanisms underlying the spread of cancer cells in the body.
Professor Andreasen is a member of the Danish Cancer Society’s Science Committee. Along with his research group and colleagues in Denmark and abroad, Professor Andreasen has published a considerable number of widely cited articles in the last three decades. These are about proteases and their inhibitors and receptors, covering topics such as transcriptional regulation, proteases as prognostic indicators in cancer, endocytosis mechanisms for proteases and their inhibitors, structure and function correlations, and the development of new principles for pharmacological control with proteases and their inhibitors and receptors.
