报告题目Circadian regulation of complex behaviors by pineal melatonin in the avian system

报告人简介Gang Wang obtained his bachelor degree in Nutrition and Food Health form Central University for Nationalities in 2000; and his master degree in Zoology from Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2003; then he received his doctoral degree in Zoology in John C. Wingfield lab from the Department of Biology, University of Washington, Seattle in 2009. He currently is a postdoctoral fellow in Vincent Cassone Lab in the Department of Biology, University of Kentucky. Dr. Wang has been using birds to study behaviors, endocrine system, neurobiology and circadian rhythmsin particular the light signal pathways to the circadian clock system as well as the mechanisms of circadian entrainment and photoperiodic time measurement.
