报告人简介:
Dr. Wenbiao Chen, Associate Professor of Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He got his bachelor degree at Hunan Normal University in 1985. In 1993, he obtained his master degree at Washington State University. After obtaining his PhD degree at Oregon Health Sciences University in 1997, he moved to Massachusetts Institute of Technology Center for Cancer research and began his postdoctoral research training until 2001. From 2001 to 2008, Dr. Wenbiao Chen worked as Assistant Scientist in Vollum Institute Oregon Health & Science University. From 2008 to now, he worked as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Now, Prof. Chen’s group is focused on the compensatory responses of pancreatic a cells and ? cells and their roles in glucose homeostasis and diabetes in zebrafish. His group also developed a high efficiency genome editing and tissue-specific gene knockout systems using CRISPR-Cas9, and has published high-quality papers in Cell, Nature, PNAS, G&D, Nature Genetics, Journal of Neuroscience, and so on.
