Biography
John received a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and a PhD, followed by a DSc, from the University of London. After working with the Medical Research Council, UK, he joined RCSI where he holds the title of Professor of Neuroscience. After appointment as Head of Clinical Pharmacology, he joined the Executive of MCT. In 2003, he became the first person from RCSI to be elected to membership of the Royal Irish Academy.
