Introduction of Speaker:

Prof. Yimin Zou graduated from Fudan University and was a CUSBEA (China and United States Biochemistry Examination and Application Program) student and received his Ph. D. from University of California, Davis and San Diego, in 1995. He did his postdoctoral fellowship in Marc Tessier-Lavigne lab at University of California, San Francisco from 1996 to 2000 and was an Assistant and Associate Professor at the University of Chicago from 2000 to 2006. He joined in the faculty at University of California, Davis and San Diego in July, 2006, and then became full Professor. He was Chair Professor of Institute of Neuroscience, Soochow University, in 2012. His lab worked on the mechanisms of assembly, plasticity, and stability of neural circuits, and published papers on Cell, Nature, Science, Nature Neuroscience, and Neuron.
